Hemorrhoids are actually a normal part of the human anatomy. Many people think that a person who has hemorrhoids has something wrong with them, and that isnt true.
We all have hemorrhoids inside us to help cushion the anal canal when we defecate. When people complain about their hemorrhoids they are actually complaining that something is wrong with their hemorrhoid system. If you need prolapsed hemroid treatment, it means that a hemorrhoid has protruded out of your anus where it isnt supposed to be.
Prolapsed hemorrhoids may be completely painless, hurt only a little, or hurt a great deal. They will appear as a red bulk sticking outside your anal opening. If it gets a blood clot in it, it will probably hurt a great deal.
There are three different degrees of prolapsed hemorrhoids. The least severe type will only protrude during a bowel movement and then spontaneously retract back inside. The second will not retract on its own, but can be manually reinserted. The third type and most severe type is one that become strangulated or forms a blood clot and will not stay inside even when it is manually reinserted.
Typically only the last two types need any sort of prolapsed hemroid treatment. The symptoms of this type of hemorrhoids include mild itching or burning, a small amount of bleeding, and in the worst type, a very large bulge of tissue that may be difficult to keep clean.
All the symptoms appear to be disgusting, scary and uncomfortable. Anyway pain is usually not associated to the problem until the prolapsed hemorrhoid becomes strangulated and/or forms blood clot. Here the hemorrhoid does becomes painful, gets serious and now the idea that you should go and visit the physician starts to get serious.
It is difficult to tell an external hemorrhoid from an internal prolapsed hemorrhoid, but when they are not so serious, they can be treated the same way. Sometimes when it is not so painful but itches, or burns, or bleeds lightly, you can easily treat it at home with no problem at all.
