You may not think of it often, but your body is much like a furnace. You give it fuel, which it burns to provide heat and energy. Ideally, your body burns the same amount of fuel you give it and your body weight remains relatively constant.
Stored fat is a result of giving our bodies more fuel or even useless fuel that cannot be burned quickly enough.
Overly processed foods behave like rocks fed to a fire. The rocks just sit in the fire since they can’t be used like fuel.
Many foods cannot be broken down by the body properly. If the body doesn’t perceive the food as fuel, it does very little toward burning it into energy.
The body will maintain a state of hunger in search of proper nutrients. The more ‘useless fuel’ we provide, the more food our bodies will want. As a result we continue to eat more than necessary.
Fresh vegetables and fruits and the like will allow the body to become satisfied. The body becomes nourished and does not need to store the unusable food as fat.
Oxygen, heat and material to burn are required for anything to burn. The body requires all three of these elements to be present as well.
Adequate oxygen is the component that is overlooked in most diet plans. Addressing food intake and heat (exercise) are where most weight loss plans stop.
An easy way to keep a flame from burning is to deprive it of oxygen. Depriving the body of oxygen also curtails it’s ability to burn anything.
Burning fat just cannot happen effectively if we are not breathing in an adequate amount of oxygen. Our bodies require this crucial element.
